[4e] IG's The Witchlight Strand [OOC]

High crit weapons are fun. That's why I love barbarians. In IG's other game, Caerwyn (hybrid barbarian) did 95 damage in one round to a black pudding (didn't kill it, but still) .

Kane (my L4W barbarian) did 141 damage on his turn and 270 damage in that encounter at level 4.

Oh, did I mention I love barbarians?

I can't believe the damage that orc did I mean after I heal Vatan for ten he comes in and does 22 and that's after the -5 for the moment of glory?!?!

So crits in 4e can lead to some dead PC's pretty quick.

Oh and I will be healing Vatan again even if he does use his second wind I don't think he will get back those 22 hp even with all the help.

HM

Actually, Vatan wasn't able to take advantage of the Moment of glory, since he left the blast area. At least that's the way I'm reading the power.

Revenge of the blue D20...

So, does anyone have any idea what happens when a fighter shifts himself between two orcs and marks them both?

They both land crits. How do you guys want to handle this?

-IG

Well...in Jude's case I suppose by going towards the light? ;)

At least Jude drew the crits away from his allies :) that 35 would've killed anyone but Vatan I think

Assuming you wan to stay with the game, I would imagine that we could work some sort of resurrection into the story. If you want to create another character, that's fine also. Just let me know.

Yeah I've never had an issue killing PC's, I actually find 4e easier to kill them in...

I'd like to stay around IG, but with Vatan covering the human fighter role, maybe I could try something else?

Works for me. Roll it up and put him in the tavern holed up with the rest of the townspeople. We'll be there shortly.

If you're planning on making another barbarian--I know how much you like them--get with me first for some backstory collaboration.

I'll try something else this time, you know, expand my horizons...

I was thinking perhaps a human ranger, melee-based. He could've been a hunter for the village or guide? Other options are bard, a traveling minstrel caught in the area when the orcs attacked. Another option was a seeker, same base as the ranger.

Shaman may also be fun... a witch doctor in the village? Not sure if it would work.
