D&D 4E 4E, PrC's, and you...

My mistake. I had forgotten that quote.

(BTW, post #400!)

Like 2E kits? :)
Ah, the much maligned kits... I had so nearly forgotten about them.

I think with what we know so far, talent trees or a combination of talents, custom feats, maneuvers (for the fighter-types) seem the most likely way they'll go.

I'm not a huge fan of PrCl, but I don't understand how can someone say that they need to be made more simple than they actually are... :\

Interesting if they really want to drop them however, since they've been one of the major factor that guaranteed sales of supplements in 3ed.

When first reading this, I was immediately reminded of the 'path' choices available in the higher levels in OD&D. Back to the roots, I say!

Since 4E will be OGL I see no reason why there won't be PrCs from the 3rd party publishers at first even if WotC doesn't initially include them. And once someone does then others will and eventually WotC will jump on the bandwagon as well.

Personally I can't see how WotC will be able to do multiclassing without allowing for PrCs unless they go to a leveless system which they are not doing. And not allowing multiclassing will sink like a brick.
