Here's my concept: Cyrial, an outcast Shadar-Kai cleric of Sehanine (goddess of trickery) managed to get free passage aboard the Silver Swan by pretending to be a cleric of Melora (goddess of the sea). Cyrial lied to the Swan's captain, suggesting that Melora's favor would be essential to protect and guide the ship, but now that things have obviously gone wrong Cyrial is beginning to worry his seemingly harmless masquerade may have actually invoked Melora's wrath.
As a cleric, Cyrial's healing powers might be vital to the group's survival, but can any of them trust him enough to accept his help? And can he deal with his own self-inflicted sense of guilt about the cause of the shipwreck?
If you like the concept, I'll post a character sheet for you. Cyrial would not be part of Shadar-Kai society, and thus not evil (I'm going for 'unaligned'). He'll be Cleric/Rogue (Sneak of Shadows feat), and I think a neat magic item for him would be Burglar's Gloves (spun from pure shadow, they were a gift from Sehanine).
