[QUOTE="DistractingFlare, post: 5106182, member: 86189"] Although Doren has never made it quite as far as the Vale, he knows a bit of information regarding the people there. Thomas, however, seems to be the resident expert on the history of the White Vale. The White Vale was the first historically recorded inter-tribal government, formed several centuries ago. It was originally peopled by the peaceful fey who emerged from the Gray Grove after escaping oppression by their ancestral enemies. They set up an interracial counsel that quietly governed the elves, eladrin, and gnomes who lived there. Eventually, a "monarchy" was put in place, in which a ruler was selected by the counsel to rule over day-to-day affairs. A wise eladrin woman named Spearwhisper was the previous queen. She and her husband Rowan watched over the people of the forest and were the first to facilitate diplomatic relations with Black Lake and also helped in the wars against The Evil One. Two years ago, after the death of her husband, Queen Spearwhisper abdicated the throne. She was replaced by her daughter, Vera Springseer, as Queen. Queen Springseer is an inexperienced ruler, but is genuinely beloved by her people. Rumors persist that she is seeking a husband. The people of the White Vale mostly worship Adele, with an emphasis on natural beauty and generosity. Queen Springseer is the High Priestess of Adele, and keeper of her legendary staff - the staff that smote The Evil One forever. The former queen, Spearwhisper, still lives in the White Vale with her daughter, and acts as a mentor. This royal family is closely related to the royal line of the drow who once lived in the Black Forest (far to the North, but connected by the Gray Grove). The drow were supposedly wiped out before Munsu's ascension to godhood in order to wipe out any trace of his mortal bloodline. [sblock=ooc]Now we just need Torath, I think.
