D&D 4E 4e was predicted by Nostradamus!

Andor

First Post
When the Great Eagle has been saddled by the Lame Duck,
Then shall there be great turmoil amoungst the wise of the west.
The 4 headed beast will rise from the body of the third,
and a plague of monsters will cover the land as in days of old.

That quatrain has been misinterpreted often. In an early translation, some of the text and punctuation was badly mangled.

It should actually read:

When the Grape Beagle dances with the Lime Duck,
Then shall there be somewhat-mild turmoil among wiseasses of the West.
The four-headed beast will have a late lunch at about 3 or half-past that hour, and consume the souls of the innocent and foolish in a firestorm of controvery.
And a plague of mothers will cover the land as in days of old.

Oddly enough, the interpretation comes out the same -- he's obviously speaking about the coming of 4th edition. Which speaks well of Nostradamus' ability to foretell the future. As in the following verse:

A great multitude of idiots shall find meaning in my words,
and many of them shall be rabid gamers, and some even religiously minded ...

"When the Great Eagle has been saddled by the Lame Duck"

That could be a sentence from a The Doors song.
I didn't know they had LSD back in the 1500's. It looks like Nostrie was a helluva tripper.

The most important thing is that all playtesters must remember to conclude all corespondence to WotC with "in accordance with the Prophecy."
