D&D 4E 4e's nostalgic shoutouts?

The covers on the phb and (potentially) the dmg are kinda like Erol Otus's covers on the Molday/Cook B/X D&D booklets.

And the title of the adventure "The Keep on the Shadowfell" reminds me a *lot* of adventure B-2's title "The Keep on the Borderlands" which was the adventure that came with the Basic Rules of Moldvay/Cook B/X D&D.

That is a lot of nostalgia. Any other nostalgia shoutouts that anyone notices from what we know and guess of 4e so far?

I'm wondering if the 4e module is going to in fact be B2, updated. If it is, it'll give a good chance to compare how 4e will work vs. 0-1e in what amounts to the same adventure...and it'll also provide a pretty good guideline how to update other 0-1e material to 4e.

B2 was about keeping watch over a series of caves filled with all the lower level monsters.

Shadowfell (which I heard was being called H1, although I can't remember where I heard that) is about some sort of gateway to a demiplane or something.

Seems pretty different, although the title is obviously a shout-out.

With the green dragon illo.

Also the girl with the horns on the first page of the Expert set was who I thought of when I saw the 4E tiefling.

I noticed the same trend.

Of course, there was also the use of the cover of the 1st ed player handbook in the anouncement, and gleemax teaser.
