4th Edition Compatability (some stuff will be converted over)

Basically, some products being released now will be 4th ed compatable. I think they are implying that they will put updated content on DDI. I think.

The following are listed, but I don't know if this is an exclusive list:

Exemplars of Evil
Dragons of Eberron
Anauroch: The Empire of Shade (November 2007)
Elder Evils (December 2007)
City of Stormreach (February 2008)

Also this, which I think is new

"All minis sets will be converted."

Though it implies it may be a long time coming for the older sets.

I think the reason that they are '4E Compatable' is that they are supposed to be mechanic-sparse. Mainly background info and such. The few statblocks or PrC's in them will be the stuff in the DI material, I'd think.

I looked at "Exemplars" at the book store, it has a fair amount of crunch. (as an aside, it is ok, but not great). It is basically a book of villians and lairs, with some encounters in the "expedition" format. If you don't have 4th ed stats, won't be that usefull.

Also, they have a seperate list of "edition-proof" products.

The books mentioned in the article will transition to 4e and this has been in our plan all along. These are full 3.5 books with lots of crunchy bits

Exemplars of Evil
Dragons of Eberron
Anauroch: The Empire of Shade (November 2007)
Elder Evils (December 2007)
City of Stormreach (February 2008)

Anything with this logo on it will get updated stats etc on D&D Insider

We planned to convert skirmish stats for minis but we were not sure how we would fit it into our schedules and how far back we would go. We have not got the schedule totally dialed yet but sets will get converted all the way back to Harbinger (set 1).
