Bucket of snails....? that gives me an idea. Take the kraken mentioned above. Make sure he has whirlwind attack and great cleave. Take a bucket of snails, bag of rats, jar of sea monkeys, whatever... Make a diplomacy check (speak with animals might be required) or something to get your critters fightin' mad, so they count as enemies.

See how long it takes to kill a god or two....
