5' step, partial actions and haste

[But then of course he probably has Tumble, Mobility, and Spring Attack, so he's not impressed at all by someone avoiding an AoO, and he's probably not losing sleep over not being able to get in two attacks against foes who are separated by 10' apart or more.

He's not losing sleep? Can you give me any other way, without spells, that said 18th-level unarmed monk can attack 2 opponents separated by 10' in 6 seconds (1 round) without drawing AoOs?

And don't say he's just going to use haste. We are debating haste here. That's circular reasoning.

EDIT: Technically the separation is 20', as you've got 2 5' reaches + 2 5' steps.

Supreme Cleave?

Of course I'm at work now and no where near my notes, but I have a file that contains all sorts of rule "clarifications" made by the Sage, Monte, and others at WotC. One of the things I have in this document is a clarification from the Sage stating that normally you only get one 5-ft step per round, but with Haste you would get two. He then goes on to say that a Samuari with Supreme Cleave could move a total of 10-ft while cleaving and under the effects of haste.

Obviously I have missed where he reversed this (if he did).

According to the new DnD faq you are still limited to a single 5' step per round even with Supreme Cleave. It only lets you use your 5' step between the killing attack and the Cleave attack.

Yup. Fits the criteria for the assignment.

1M.2

1 and 2 are separated by 10 feet. Monk hits 1, knocks him out, takes a 5' step towards 2 and hits him using Supreme Cleave.

If he'd said 15', I'd have a problem. 10' is a snap ;)
