D&D 5E 5e CB's Stonefast OOC -- COMPLETE

It's the filesharing site that is being blocked, I tried using the link and it is blocked.

It is no big deal, I just have to wait till I am home (like everyone else) to check out the pic. :)

Thanks for looking into it.

Due to the distances involved, Guran is going to have to throw something if he wants to attack. About the only other thing he could try to do is to hide; but he's glowing violet light, so that wouldn't work.

Guran's full move is 25 feet, but neither that nor a 20 foot move would put him near enough to "E" (in R35) to attack at range without disadvantage. (Guran has no javelins. His only ranged weapons go 20 feet before requiring disadvantage due to distance.) What he can do (unfortunately) is get in everybody else's way by stopping in the intersection, adjacent to kobold2. He might have a 25% chance to hit something with a ranged weapon at that distance, but it might be better than not attacking at all.

Because Guran won't get to act until Init 10, along with Spec and the Crone, I though I would take this opportunity to list a few of the (infinite number of) things that he won't be saying this coming turn.

(1) "I'm PURPLE! That's going too far, you foon: you have violeted my integrity!"
(2) "You have NAURed your last NAUR--Segolene Impf-Snade!"
(3) "Certainty of death? Little chance of victory? What are we waiting for?"
(4) "The elf, thereupon, did a perishing thing: she choked on her spittle and died."
(5) "Eat axe-bit."
(6) "Bogga-Wooga Fonz-Gwong!"

Y'all could always kill the sleeping ones, so something doesn't wake them up. Guran would be really good at that given the advantage, auto-crit, and sneak attack.

Trying to evade responsibility for nitpicking, by putting this into the OOC thread instead of into the actual game --

Weren't there two different Light spells cast? Guran learned how during the level-up, and I thought I had him cast it on Roscoe's sword so the halfling wouldn't be dismayed by the loss of the light when Spec took his light back.

Guran and Spec both have a light spell going, yes. The magical darkness trumps and dismisses Guran's light, however.

I don't know where Guran cast his light spell. I had been assuming on his person. If you think it was on Roscoe's sword, find the post and let me know (I don't need a post #, your word is plenty fine). Not sure it will make a difference at this point, though, because the drow priestess just cast darkness. I'm at work and doing my best to be thorough, but as we all know, when multiple effects are going on things get tricky. I'm open to queries and adjustments for accuracy; let me know what you think needs fixed!

Found it: Guran had originally cast the Light cantrip on his armor, but when he retreated too far, he realized that light was doing no good, so he advanced again and cast the Light cantrip on Roscoe's short sword -- in post #1103.

However, that doesn't matter now that the Darkness spell has dismissed Guran's Light cantrip. . . .
