D&D 5E 5e D&D world/fluff

Does anyone know what the 5e world will be like in terms of things like the Underdark, the planes, shadow fell, fey wild? Will all those exist in 5e and be similar in concept? I'm not talking about the specific mechanical aspects of a specific monster in the Underdark or Shadowfell but more the setting aspects of those parts of the D&D world.

Reason I ask is I have a bunch of 4e fluff books but I never really got into 4e as I was trying play with my youngish kids and the game was just too mechanically crunchy/combat centric for me to deal with (mostly due to lack of time) so I basically just read the books but didn't use them. Anyway after reading through the 5e starter set I'm feeling like this is a game I can get into with my kids a lot easier so I'm wondering if the fluff and worldview will be roughly the same and therefor worth keeping my 4e books as background information or should I just jettison my whole 4e collection on Ebay?

Thanks for any intel on this.

It sounds like 5e is defaulting to the lore of earlier editions, but will allow DMs to use their own flavour if they wish.
So if you want to use the 4e world and 4e planes you absolutely can.

Yep, no implied setting. In fact, the rules go out of their way to directly state, "pick a setting, any setting." So you should have no problem.

I would consider keeping the fey wild book at least. There wasn't anything really on the fey wild from earlier editions so I imagine it will generally stay as is. Also, its a pretty cool plane for kids to associate with I would say. I also like the 4e elemental planes and shadow fell. I believe these are sticking with the 5e cosmology. The biggest changes back look to be the outer planes however

Thanks everyone for the information. Looks like i can hang onto some of my 4e books for the time being and I'm going to sell my core rulebooks and essentials books on eBay and see if I can get any takers.

The Underdark was mentioned in the Basic rules in passing (in the Duergar sidebox). I suspect it will be talked about in the drow area of the PHB as well.

The PHB spoiler thread mentioned that the Planar Cosmology is basically "Great Wheel/Planescape + Elemental Chaos, Shadowfell, Feywild, and Far Realm" Sounds like you can mix and match your planes at will.
