Hey folks! I’ve been playing D&D for 37 years, and I have something exciting to share with all of you. Something that will allow you to have fun and be a part of something larger than yourself while helping out children in need.
A group of friends and I are going to be raising a *minimum* of $10,000 for the Right To Play children's charity by playing a 48 hour marathon game of Dungeons and Dragons 5E in Toronto, Ontario. Our DM and 4 players are from Ontario, Canada, and one player and our artist are from New Hampshire, USA.
We will be setting the Guinness World Record for 'Most Money Raised for a Charity by a Marathon Roleplaying Game'. It's quite the mouthful, but we're hoping to greatly surpass the $10,000 minimum.
The best thing about this event is that it's HIGHLY interactive, and you can get involved! Right now you can contribute to our Indiegogo Generosity Crowdfunder and pledge to design and name an establishment in our world, describe and name NPC's, Villains, Monsters, etc. You can even purchase a Patron or Nemesis for each player character, and have a direct line to the DM during the marathon to be a boon or a hindrance while we play!
The entire event will be streamed live on Twitch, and while we are playing you will be able to pledge for events and encounters. It's rumoured that a Tarrasque will even make its way onto the pledge list!
One caveat! This is not a PG event. Our motto is " 'Bad' People..... Doing Good Things'. There **will** be expletives and inappropriate discussions, but it should be funny and entertaining. Especially after the 24 hour mark.
Please help support us if you can. And please share this event with everyone on every social media outlet you have! This is going to be the first annual event, and we want to make an enormous difference in the lives of kids who need it!
