The group moves forward, their view obscured by trees. The voice comes clearer, clearly the voice of the priest. "No no no..." he seems to be saying, over and over, almost crazed, becoming more and more frantic. The Jorrick the Goliath, as well as the dragonborn, moves up to the front with Dariana, while the dark elf almost freezes in place with fear, her eyes darting to and fro. Raven has her maul ready, but hasn't said much during this trek. She looks nervous. The group comes to a clearing, and searches for the old man, but he is nowhere to be seen. Instead, his voice seems to be coming from a lump on the ground. As the clouds move away, moonlight falls into the clearing, lighting it up for even those without darkvision to see clearly enough. "Nononononono!" the franticness of the priest's voice, emanating from the red lump, grows in intensity. Now that light has shown down, the group can see that there is a...a MOUTH on the lump, forming the words in the priest's voice. An eye opens. This eye is nowhere near the mouth, but on a stalklike appendage. It turns and looks at the group, and another eye, this one on the other side of the lump and embedded in the body itself, opens as well. Then the rest of the eyes open. There are dozens of them, all over the thing's body. Some with blue irises, some with green or brown or red. They all turn to regard the group that has approached it in the night. Then its mouths open. All of them. Like the eyes, these mouths cover the entire body. Each mouth is filled with teeth, which look human but razor sharp. As the larger mouths open wide, other mouths inside it also open, some in the cheeks, some on the grotesque tongues that begin to move. The creature is a mass of eyes and mouths, teeth and tongues. And then they begin to speak. All of them, each in a different voice. Some of the mouths hurl threats, others pleads and yet others just gibber incoherently. The cocophany of voices, dozens of crazed, insane voices, washes over the group, threatening their very sanity as the creature starts to move towards them, slowly, deliberatly. The large mass of flesh sticks one of its mouths out and latches it on the ground, using it as an anchor to drag itself along the ground towards the group. [ooc]Roll Initiative! Oh, and at the start of your turn, make a Wisdom Saving Throw for me. Kthxbye![/ooc]
