[QUOTE="tglassy, post: 7133843, member: 6855204"] Morgana regarded the rat for a moment, then grinned. "You'll due." The next months went by in a whir. The Academy wound up being just as wondrous as promised, always with new surprises around the corner. The group quickly found their way around, seeing each other in between classes and study times. Jordy and Grody wound upseeing each other quite a bit, as they were both focused on awakening their own inner power. They often sparred with each other, learning the neuances of their power. More than once, Jordy's power flared, exploding in a flash of power. He found that holding his wand helped to focus the power. When he would have a Surge of Wild Magic, he could funnel it into his wand, forcing it away from him. This didn't always work, but it kept him from roasting himself on more than one occasion. Grody was changing as well, as he noticed blue scales creeping up his back and on the back of his hands. It seems he now knows his Draconic Heritage. [ooc]Jordy gains a level in Wild Magic Sorcerer. Wild Surges will be fairly often, whenever I think they should be, and when they happen, Jordy can roll a DC 12 Charisma Check. On a success, he shunts the power into his wand, and can direct it to originate at a point he can see within 60 feet. As he grows in power, his wand's ability to control his Wild Surges will grow as well.[/ooc] [ooc]Grody gains a level in Draconic Sorcerer. His Draconic Ancestry is Blue. He finds that he can put a small charge through his sling, allowing him to do an extra 1d4 electric damage when launching projectiles through it.[/ooc] Zivar finds he is rather adapt at magic. His studies prove fruitful, and before he knows it, he is able to perform a number of spells. As a gift, he is given a leather bound spellbook as his first spellbook. He is more than welcome to get extras, or to find one of his own, but this will do for the moment. He also finds that his staff's power grows. It seems to be an object of defense, for as Zivar holds it, he notices that when he does get hit, the hit doesn't seem to hurt as much. It's almost as if a light force field surrounds his skin as he holds the staff. [ooc]Zivar has gained a level in Wizard. Zivar's glass staff grants +1 AC when he is holding it.[/ooc] Dariana spends much time with the old elf, Farinhas. Her and her bow grow together, her aim improving with each day. Compliments from Farinhas are few and far between, but yesterday, he actually nodded at her when she managed to hit a bird flying across the field. Her bow's magic grows. Besides being a Weapon of Warning, she finds that when she draws an arrow, she can focus the bow's magic on the arrow, causing the arrow to glow with light. The light seems to be harmless, but the light stays on the arrow after shooting it. She finds it is perfect for finding hidden enemies and revealing their location, or lighting up an area far away. The magic seems to sing to her. At times they seem almost intuitive. As if she could, if she so desired, forgo the evening prayers and simply cast the spells at will. But as of now, she is focused on learning the way the Clerics of her home country do. The combat portion that Tigrr, the Wonderful, demanded of her was another matter. It did not come as naturally. But, thanks to her initial instruction, she was able to keep up. And as her body grew accustomed to the abuses she put it through, she found that while going through her routines, she could reach a level of meditation she could not when she was sitting at an alter. She began to feel the connection with her god stronger at these times, as if he were well pleased with her progress. Still, her meditations were usually interrupted by a cramp. Or a twisted ankle.
