She was still lean, but her muscles had tightened up and grown stronger. “Ale, and whatever is for dinner,” Asherah called to the proprietor. “Meat, preferably.” Asherah dropped her priest’s pack to the floor next to her booth and leaned her spear against the wall. She dropped her weapon belt with her flail and warhammer next to her pack and leaned her crossbow next to her shield. She sighed as she loosened her leather armor a bit and sank into the booth. Her people didn’t usually wear heavy armors, as they prefered ambush and stealth and often fought in the treetops in some areas of the Suzerainty. The only warriors that usually wore heavy armor were the Suzerain Guards in the palace. The waitress brought an ale and Asherah drank it thirstily, ordering another, as this one wouldn’t last long. She stretched and cracked her neck, her body aching and bruised. She touched the holy symbol of Tigrr that hung from her neck and gained a modicum of relief, but she was proud of her aches and pains.
