The pact had been made. Mim would obey Morgana during his time at Halcyon, and once he leaves the Academy, he will owe her one favor per year, though he will get to choose what favors to accept. The first task that Morgan gave to him, much to his surprise, did not initially sound like it had anything to do with pranks or magic at all. In fact, it actually sounded boring. What Morgana tasked him to do was to learn three languages: Sylvan, Draconic, and Elvish. When she found out that he only knew Common and Auran, she nearly threw a fit! She told him he must immediately learn these higher languages in order to adequately serve her. More than this, she task him with learning to create ciphers, so that he could communicate with her secretly, and she could do the same with him. Learning the first language was fairly difficult, but after he began to study something inside snapped. Once that happened he found assimilating the language to be relatively straightforward. When he went to the other two languages he found it much easier to understand and learn them. Likely due to some gift from his patron, he learned these three languages in a matter of a few months, where it normally would it have taken years. Once that was done, Morgana began to show him the very beginning's of her magic. From now on Morgana would only speak to him in Sylvan. Any notes he received were written in a cipher that he created, and only he could read, unless he were to teach it to someone else. Those decisions have been left solely to him, as if he believes that someone else should know how to read his secret Messages, then Morgana will not argue. [ooc]Mim has now taken a level in warlock, with an Archfey patron. He has also been granted the linguist feet, learning Sylvan, draconic, and Elvish. Learning new languages will also be easier for him, as any language that he learns that uses the same alphabet as a language he already knows will take half the time to learn.[/ooc] Sent from my iPad using EN World
