I don’t know where else to ask this, but I’ve always been curious. Can you mix different rule sets and adventure modules in fantasy ground? Like if I bought Daggerheart when it comes out, can I load a DND adventure and that ruleset into the same campaign?

I am not particularly skillful at the intricacies of FG but I ran a 5e game on FG with pathfinder 1e modules and it went well for me.

The maps came across fine, the descriptions came across fine and the monster tokens came across fine but the pathfinder monsters and NPCs and items with mechanics did not. It was easy to reskin a 5e monster’s name and power titles to replace them quickly though like a 5e derro shadow caster to be the stats for a Pathfinder hobgoblin necromancer in one of the modules or using a thug stats for an orc warrior.

So about as easy for me as when I was doing the same thing in a separate tabletop campaign I ran, 5e rules using a pathfinder module conversion, just with using only the monster sources I had on FG.

Voadam is correct. You typically need to use an extension that loosens the built-in restrictions of what is shown as available within any given ruleset. There is a free extension on the FG Forge called Universal Module that you will subscribe to and then enable when you load your campaign. I would recommend using that and then copying everything you need from the source module to your campaign and then edit it further from there.

We are still in development for Daggerheart, but it is in testing and bugfixes currently. Text and images are pretty universal, but NPC will have different data fields and values that are specific to a particular system. The only officially supported path is to run content and adventures built for those systems; however, our community often does what Voadam suggested and with the community extension, it does work to a fair degree.

It is super easy to host. Just create or load a campaign, choose Cloud, give it a password (recommended), and click Start. Players will join you by GM Name or find you in the list.
