As to Rogues feeling shafted ... the Rog/Clr is VERY glad he decided to go with some cleric so he can fill his whole 1st level allotment with Grave Strike. He's actually got better burst damage than I do if he can get into position to TWF double-stab with Wracking Touch in the spell-storing weapon and the Undead Bane other weapon. He has the Magic domain so he also acts as our Wizard with spell-type items since our real Wizard got gacked back at the Encounter at Blackwall Keep (or, as we continue to refer to it, Fort Moron).
EDIT FOR AMY: I would say, actually, that AoW is more "Iconic D&D" than SCAP. AoW has a very deep Greyhawk feel to it, including some encounters with "Named NPCs" from the Greyhawk world if you want to use them as such. It deals with alot of usual D&D themes, with a big focus on undead (but not nearly so much focus that my "kills undead dead" cleric has actually had as much to do as I'd hoped).
SCAP is a bit more Planescapey, with a whole bunch of backstory that deals with Outsiders, a bit of the Blood War, and a wacky city built in a volcano in the jungle. Not very iconic, really. D&D to be sure, but I, myself, preferred the AoW flavor.
