Athelstan was a pre-made character in I12: Egg of the Phoenix. He makes a good paladin, so here is a conversion for your enjoyment
ATHELSTAN
Male human paladin 8
lawful good
Strength: 19 (+4)
Dexterity: 12 (+1)
Constitution: 17 (+3)
Intelligence: 10 (+0)
Wisdom: 16 (+3)
Charisma: 18 (+4)
Melee attack: +12/+7
Ranged attack: +9/+4
Fortitude save: +13
Reflex save: +7
Will save: +9
Speed: 30
Size: M
Armour Class: 22 (+1 Dex, +9 full plate (+1), +3 large steel shield (+1))
Hit Points: 76
Special: Proficient with all simple and martial weapons, all armour and shields; detect evil; divine grace; lay on hands (32hp/day); divine health; aura of courage; smite evil (+8 dmg); remove disease (2/week); turn undead (7/day); spells; paladin’s mount; code of conduct.
Skills: Heal +14, Ride +12.
Feats: Weapon Focus (longsword), Improved Initiative, Mounted Combat, Leadership.
Languages: Common
Possessions: +1 full plate armour, +1 large steel shield, +2 longsword, dagger, longbow, quiver containing 30 arrows, greatsword, periapt of proof against poison, potion of protection from elements (fire), three flasks of oil, four flasks of holy water.
Spells prepared: 1) bless water, detect undead. 2) remove paralysis
Background: As a child, the rescue of his brother from certain death made Athelstan realize that his life’s work would be to do good for others: protecting the weak, bringing order to chaos, and defending the deep convictions instilled by a loving family. He could be nothing other than a paladin, living his life with righteous enthusiasm. In another man, this bold self-confidence would seem arrogant, but without it he would not be Athelstan. He has become the role-model for an entire generation of youngsters in his homeland, better known even than its rulers. Although his knightly vows do not prohibit marriage, he is shy with women and so stresses the avoidance of unnecessary temptation (especially complicated with his feelings for a beautiful wizard). Athelstan considers undead to be the greatest abomination inflicted on the world and seeks to destroy them with single-minded determination. Unfortunately for his compatriots, the paladin often lets his emotions dictate his actions.
