Ooo! Now genies and even elementals! You know, once this topic's actually been discussed a bit, I begin to see all sorts of things that hadn't even occured to me at first, but now that I see them, appeal to me on all kinds of levels.

I think a book on djinn would be very nice indeed, and I'm tempted to say that it would actually sell well, too. I could definitely see Wizards doing something like that. Fey could go either way I think, but a book on efreet, djinn and even genasi might do very well indeed. I'd certainly be interested in it.

A fey or undead book would be interesting. They released books for Beholders, Illithids, and Sahuagin in 2E; each of those was accompanied by a set of modules.

Are Sahuagin copyrighted?

I'd bet Mind Flayers and Beholders, b/c there's already a lot of 2E flavor text. That way, they can follow the WotC masterplan of re-packaging old material with new crunchy bits and charging full price.

I'd buy one about Elementals, and think it would be a good idea. I'd also buy one on Umber Hulks, even though it wouldn't be a good idea for WotC to publish. ;)

Works for me Snap.

Shade, technically there is a book for Yugoloths, just happens to have other fiend types as well. Book of Fiends man! :)

Yheah, i agree that a lot of these books might not be viable from a financial point of view, at least as far as wotc is concerned. But an Illithid book would ruin the best of my goals to save money. I never got to see the Illithiad, and i have been thinking of looking for it online. Illithid are so much more exciting and interesting than the drow, and have pretty much enslaved them in my new setting.

Historicaly I have found undead to be very boring, most undead encounters tend to be mindless and boring...though that abates some at higher levels with more inteligent undead. Despite that ive always wanted to love them as much as everyone else, and a big (WOTC specificaly) book on them might be what i need. I like the idea of most types of undead being templates.

Yeah, undead and fey are the most likely, since the undead sell well and the fey haven't gotten the detail from WoTC they deserve (except in their website's Fey Feature, which has some good stuff and some eh stuff).

But, using Remathilis' criteria (lots of detail, pretty art and cool new PC powers), oozes would be very amusing indeed...

Demiurge out.
