Rirru
Rirru is worshiped by corrupted druids and evil woodland creatures. Its titles are the Twisted Owl and the Sylvan Fiend. Rirru is portrayed as a three foot tall owl with overly long, gaunt and grotesque children-like arms. Its feathers are brown and its eyes are yellow with black pinpoints. Rirru's hoot sounds like the gurgling of a choaking child. Rirru resides in Hell. Followers gather in moonlit glades to sacrifice animals before an idol depicting the Sylvan Fiend in all its horror. Strangely, Rirru does not care for the sacrifice of intelligent creatures. The Twisted Owl is immensly evil, and most certainly a fiend, but yet it never attempts to corrupt good. Anyone depraved enough to worship it are usually already evil if not mad. Rirru compells his followers to wage war on civilization and expand the forests of Khanesh. Ironically, these two goals undermine each other: The cities of Mardukia fear nothing more than the spreading desert, but planting new trees keeps the desert in check.
DISCIPLE OF RIRRU [PATRON]
You have sworn yourself to Rirru, the Sylvan Fiend, as its disciple and devoted servant. In return for your obedience, Rirru grants you a small measure of power.
Prerequisite: Must be of evil alignment.
Benefit: You can polymorph into an owl as per the polymorph self spell at your character level. You can do this once per day. Being blessed by Rirru, you radiate evil so palpable that good creatures feel uncomfortable in your presence; you receive a -2 penalty on all Charisma-based checks against good-aligned creatures.
Special: You can only be sworn to a single patron at any given time.
Prophet of the Twisted Owl (Pto)
The most devout of Rirru's worshippers become prophets and chosen of the Sylvan Fiend. As an elder fiend, Rirru is a being of enormous power, and it channels a small portion of that power to his chosen. This allows the prophet of the Twisted Owl to cast divine magic.
Hit Die: d8.
REQUIREMENTS
To qualify to become a prophet of the Twisted Owl, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Alignment: Chaotic Evil.
Base Attack Bonus: +5.
Skills: Knowledge (Nature) 10 ranks, Wilderness Lore 10 ranks.

Feats: Disciple of Rirru.
Special: The character must lead the Ritual of the Glade (see below). If Rirru disapproves of the character as its prophet, the ritual summons 666 fiendish owls that attack everyone who participated in the ritual. If Rirru approves however, the character is transported to the Glade of Howls and Whispers by the Sylvan Fiend itself. This encounter lasts one day, afterwhich the character has become utterly insane and fanatical, his body and soul completely and forever devoted to the Twisted Owl.

Bonus spells are based on Wisdom, and saving throws against these spells have a DC of 10 + spell level + Wisdom modifier. When the prophet of the Twisted Owl gains gets 0 spells of a given level, such as 0 1st level spells at 1st level, the prophet of the Twisted Owl gets only bonus spells. A prophet of the Twisted Owl without a bonus spell for that level cannot yet cast a spell of that level.
The prophet of the Twisted Owl's spell list appears below. A Prophet of the Twisted Owl has access to every spell on the list and can freely choose which to prepare, just like a druid. A prophet of the Twisted Owl prepares and casts spells just as a druid does (though the prophet of the Twised Owl cannot spontaneously cast cure or inflict spells).
Eye of Rirru: The prophet of the Twisted Owl gains a fiendish owl as a familiar. This fiendish owl can speak the language of the prophet and speaks with the voice of Rirru. It speaks only rarely, usually to convey Rirru's displeasure of a certain action or event. If the fiendish owl dies, the prophet suffers twice the usuall familiar damage (see PHB, wizard and familiar section). The prophet receives the normal +2 bonus to move silently as per familiar benefits. The owl familiar functions as a focus for every spell the Prophet of Rirru can cast. Without the owl, the Prophet of Rirru cannot cast spells. If the owl dies, the Prophet must wait 24 hours for a new owl. The familiar chart appears below.
Vision of the Twisted Owl: The prophet of the Twisted Owl gains darkvision 120'. His eyes become yellow and animal-like.

Ritual of the Glade
When the sun has set and darkness descends on ancient woodlands, hooded men gather solemnly in misty glades to worship Rirru, the Sylvan Fiend. This procession is led by a Prophet of Rirru and at his side walks the cultist seeking to become a prophet himself. Animals shun this unholy glade, except owls. They feel drawn to it and gather on the branches of nearby trees to hoot and observe. At least twenty initiated cultists must form a circle around Rirru's pagan idol and praise the Sylvan Fiend with chants in druidic. The prophet of Rirru joins the aspiring cultist who seeks to gain Rirru's favour by the altar, where all manner of forest animals lie enthralled by magic. The aspiring cultist must flay these animals in a specific manner sacred to the Sylvan Fiend (Knowledge (religion) check DC 20). Failure to flay the animals properly condemns the ritual and garners Rirru's displeasure. After the flaying, the aspiring cultist must sacrifice the animals on the schorched wooden alter using a ceremonial dagger of his own making (Craft (weaponsmithing) check DC 12). Finally, said cultist must invoke Rirru and pray that it bring him to its hellish domain. This prayer must be in druidic and is quite intricate (Knowledge (religion) DC 20). If all of the checks above are succesfull, the cultist fades away into the mist and thus transported to the Glade of Howls and Whispers in Hell. The cultist is then eligable for the Prophet of Rirru prestige class. If any of the checks fail, Rirru is angered and instead summons six hundred and sixty six fiendish owls that proceed to attack anyone who participated in the ritual, including the aspiring cultist and the Prophet of Rirru. The fiendish owls hunt the participants until they themselves or the cultists are slain. Anyone who should emerge from such a harrowing experiance cannot participate in the Ritual of the Glade until they have atoned for their failure.
