So could you describe in more detail how this rule set could be used to field armies of 1000's of minis in assorted genres with assorted base sizes?
 

The base sizes should be consistent for a given type of unit, but small differences in size shouldn't hurt anything. WRG/DBA sizes are optimal. Units are grouped into stands of 1-8, but once a unit is documented, there is no marking or writing required. A standard can be used to designate each unit for easy reference for larger battles. The game mechanics simply remove stands as per the outcome of a ranged or melee encounter with a single roll, with a further morale roll either forcing them to run or disperse entirely. Obviously, a huge army will take longer to command, but once you're familiar with the rules, the process moves along quickly.
