A Forgotten Realms player primer?

Is there a good, but relatively short, player's primer for the Forgotten Realms?

I know that there was a 2nd ed book Player's Guide to the Forgotten Realms Campaign book out, and I might snag that on PDF.

I'd like to have something that the players can get a grasp of the setting in about 10-15 pages.

Unfortunately, not exactly. PG2 Player’s Guide to the Forgotten Realms Campaign is a story with lore sidebars, while the 3E Player's Guide is a set of rules updates plus appendices. TSR had access to the 'your character knows this' packets Ed prepared for his players, but didn't use them. I can refer you to this thread, where I posted the excellent but brief intro that appeared on a 1996 promotional poster and in The Best of the Realms, Book II.

I should probably tackle one, though at least half would be different depending on where the campaign is set. Let me know if there's anything less ambitious I can help with.
