I've had the pre-order Path of Glory for months. It's a good resource for DB GMs. It might also be a good intro for 5e players to DB with an experienced GM. PoG is for advanced DB PCs, thus they are more heroic than the starting DB character and would have more of the bells and whistles a 5e player would be accustom to.
Even so, some PoG monsters can still slap a PC silly if the rolls are in favor of it.

For Cypher GMs, I found Magnus is pretty cool and it has an alternate "HP" system.

Any samples or preview for the Geologist/Herbalist Primers (couldn't see one from website)? That could be right in my alley but hard to tell if it's something I'd find useful/tasteful.

Check the youtubes, there are plenty of flip throughs.

I have both, and will probably get the fungus version. They are dense ecology, science, reference style books.

Usual entry of an illustration on one page with category/type tags and keywords with full page description with magical properties, occurrences, extraction and preparation, etc... on the opposite page. Each book is well made and over 300 pages. Did i mention "dense", lots of geeky details to dig into, and honestly way more than i need for the table.
