Truly, an amazing tool!
It only could be improved with a one-line description of the spells (a la 3e).

But... what does the 8th level Telepathy spell do?
Because its listed as an Evocation. Not something I would have imagined...

Thank you very much. This gives me a jump start on my DM cheat sheet which will have ranges, durations, etc. (obviously only for my personal use with all that extra stuff in there).

If you toss an autofilter on the top row it becomes even easier to use this sheet, at least for whittling down to 2nd level Evocation spells and such.

One note if you're looking to expand a bit: I notice this does not include expanded spell lists (such as from Warlock patron, Cleric domains, etc.). Perhaps those could be noted in parentheses or italics?

I'm working on correcting the few typos, and also expanding it to include the subclass-based spells and whatnot. I'm hoping to have a new version up early next week.

It works really well with the table feature in excel. If you haven't had a go just select one of the cells and choose insert, table (that's what it is in Excel 2013 at least. Other versions also have this feature) and then select all the filled in cells (a1 to f844 in my version). Then you can sort but also filter by school, class etc

I think I posted this in another thread, but have you thought about making it a google doc (or similar) instead of a download? That way people wouldn't have to re-download it when it was updated, they could view it without excel, and it would still be downloadable.

Excellent resource.
I made some simple spell sheets for the starter set with this, though I changed the formating somewhat and made it printer friendly for my players. I also made a "prepared" column for the player's to check off in.

Oh, and I couldn't find "Flaming Sphere" on the list, so added that.

"Etheralness" for the Bard version of the spell.

And "Mirrage Arcane", also for the Bard version.
