Turanil

I still maintain that BCD has not so much a Moorcockian feel, than a Jack Vance feel (as in The Dying Earth, Cugel, or Rhialto the Marvellous) of comical near absurd fantasy. It's in Jack Vance that we learned of some people who perform a certain magical ritual to keep the sun burning. This idea has found its way in the BCD's Avidarel plane. Anyway, you may just read my review here.Krypter said:Although it took me a while, I really warmed to Beyond Countless Doorways. It is a more open-ended multiverse, with very few gods (but a lot of angels and demons) running around, and this gives it a more Moorcockian feel.
Hum! Really???Krypter said:Oh, and Vlad actually said that contrary to Turanil he found BCD to be an excellent book.
