A listing of planar products?

Although it took me a while, I really warmed to Beyond Countless Doorways. It is a more open-ended multiverse, with very few gods (but a lot of angels and demons) running around, and this gives it a more Moorcockian feel.
I still maintain that BCD has not so much a Moorcockian feel, than a Jack Vance feel (as in The Dying Earth, Cugel, or Rhialto the Marvellous) of comical near absurd fantasy. It's in Jack Vance that we learned of some people who perform a certain magical ritual to keep the sun burning. This idea has found its way in the BCD's Avidarel plane. Anyway, you may just read my review here.

Oh, and Vlad actually said that contrary to Turanil he found BCD to be an excellent book.
Hum! Really??? :D

If you're looking at fiction for inspiration I'd reccomend Roger Zelazney's work. The Great Book of Amber in trade paperback which retails at $23 dollars is probably the best place to start. It is a little hefty however, collecting all 10 books in his Chronicles of Amber series.
