A little honesty and request for advice..

I'm hoping you, the online community, can aid me in my quest to find another FRCS map.

Another option is to spend the 5 bucks and buy the PDF an older edition of the FRCS. It sort of depends on what your requirements are.

Both the 1e and 2e sets had 4 nice big poster maps included. (I was a bit disappointed when I bought the 3e book and the teeny little map that came in the back of it) Anyway, 2 of them, when put together, made a large scale map of the realms and the other 2, when put together, were a smaller scale, more detailed map of the heartlands. This format was used for both the 1e and 2e sets.

Unfortunately, if you go the PDF route, the maps have been broken up into page size pieces. Game-wise, I actually find them more functional this way. You can just grab the area that you're in, and print it off to give your players. But that may not be what you want.

Also, when going the PDF route, bear this in mind: the 2nd Edition map style is a lot prettier, but doesn't print that well in draft mode because of the detail. The 1st edition ones are more basic, less artwork, but print well in draft. That'll matter if ink costs are a factor. BTW, the 2nd Ed maps are just prettied up versions of the same maps as 1e.

The map of the realms really hasn't changed much over the years, so this is a viable option if you just want something to help you play your game.

Hope this helps.

Actually, it sounded (or read) like Xath was going to mail a physical copy of the map.

Too bad I don't run FR, though, I always like to have electronic versions of my gaming maps as well. Anyway...
You know, I think you're right about that one. I was just trying to be helpful to the exclusion of paying attention. :heh:
