A look at Lord Apoc's Art Gallery

Here are a couple of pointers:

1 - Be wary of over-rendering. Your artwork show lots of lines that don't really serve a purpose and only help clutter the image a bit. The troubador is good, but the over-rendering makes the image look insecure. One of the hardest parts of being an artist is to know when the image in done! :) Your simpler pieces (like the cat/dragon lady) are much better.

2 - Be wary of shapes. The balrog's biceps has a bump that it shouldn't. I know it's a demon, not a human, but we must base our pieces somewhere. BTW, great skull-head!

3 - Proportion. The gnome looks like a human, for instance, and the centaur's humanoid half is too large for his horse-half. Try drawing a very basic figure to get the proportions right, then bend it into the shape you want.

Aside from the over-rendering, your pencilwork is really good, and you should focus into conveying more with less strokes.

Keep it up!
