A netbook of beasties

First Post
Howdy, howdy. I've been working on a new release of the Book of Beasts, set for publication some time early next year. WIth additional contributions I've received from various worthies, it is now over 200 pages! (My goal is to eventually reach the size of the v3.5 Monster Manual. :)

I'd be very happy to include good quality monster writeups from anybody willing to release their creations under the OGL. If you have some beasties you'd like to contribute, please let me know. <shaezyra at yahoo dot com>. Have a good holiday!

Sorry to post this here, but it seemed like the most logical place.

I downloaded the small one a year or two ago, it was pretty cool but small. Thanks, bobh!

(...the one I downloaded from his site was free.)

Well im willing (once they get that online form for people to fill out) ill give/make some for it. Also do you have a forum of your own so I can post my stuff?

Or is this one too small of a project to do that?

I guess I hadn't really thought that far ahead. Up until now I'd mostly jsut been corresponding via e-mail. The primary concern is finding people willing to contribute under the OGL, which some probably aren't. I usually do a little final editing of the writeup, primarily to fix any minor problems with the stats, then feed it back to see if the contributor disagrees.

There's quite a few OGC'd monsters available on the homebrew site, but many of them are somewhat low on details in the description. Plus it can be difficult sometimes to track a person down to see if they are willing to have their monster published in this format.

*shrug*

As long as I get a mention I'd be more then willing. What are the requirments?

Well, pretty much what you'd expect. I've been favoring monsters that have a multi-paragraph, good-quality descriptions, and the work doesn't tread on existing copyrights. It's always good if the monster is original and would fit in most campaigns. But I have included a number of monsters that are fairly unusual as well, so that's not really a limitation. I definitely need the author's full name for copyright purposes, and an affirmation that the work can be released as OGC. :)

Thank you.

Problems

I've sent a few monsters in myself and finally decided to download the book. However, when I opened it up, I found that I didn't have the font it was in and couldn't read anything. Can anyone help me out and tell me what this font is and where I can get it?
