That ending was great! I especially like how the combat just suddenly ends

Out of all of them though, I'd rather have the wizard...

Thanks, guys! It was fun writing it, too--a nice break from my regular, more serious story hour.
LightPhoenix: I agree, I identify most with the wizard, perhaps because we were all newbies once. I think the moral of the story is that all of us who intend to run NWN games as DMs need to be careful of those newcomers to D&D, lest we drive away new recruits that can potentially add a lot to our community. Recently I've been playing some new games online (SoF2, primarily), and at times it can seem very much like a "closed group" to a newcomer. (Particularly when you're getting your butt handed to you on a regular basis. Then you learn how to do a double-tap to the head at range with an M4, and it's sweeeeet)
So be nice, or the Balor will come to get you... (maybe I'll use that in the intro to my online game)
