I thought that went away a long time ago? I know they didn't count when the forum was originally created and still in test mode, but I seem to recall PC or Morrus saying that since the forum was a success and was going to stay seperate, the posts would count.

A quick click on the link shows that it isn't an off topic post, and a quick check of 'search for all post by this user" shows that he has indeed only posted once...

The board was insanely slow at that time yesterday, I suspect that it simply couldn’t keep up for a moment or two.

It is possible, though unlikely, that the post successfully went through while the postcount didn't update. But except for the off-topic forum situation, all the ones I can imagine are software glitches in the core of the code I'm not qualified (or willing) to try to monkey with.
