After I acquired a tiny black dragon figurine of wondrous power in my brother's game I asked her what I should name it. "Uhmm. Hmm." she said considering the little black dragon mini carefully then nodded her head deciding "Battle Dragon."

I talked with the author and got more concrete information.

This book will be written in the voice of a different wizard (non-kender) an dwill have no connection to Krynn.

It will not feature Orcs or Kobolds but will cover Beholders, Troll, Ogres, Chimeras to name a few.

Awesome stuff.

I still think tying this line to the Knights of the Silver Dragon (who are in an undefined generic world, as far as I can tell) would be a good way to go for future volumes.

I suspect that a book put out by WoTC and sold at B&N, Borders, and Toys R Us might do slightly better.
