A question about beer.

I honestly mean this as no offense to you, but Heineken is crap. Utter crap. Might as well have an American Budweiser or Miller.

As far as US brewed Heineken is concerned, I'll agree with you. The stuff that actually comes from Amsterdam is a little different (or at least it was when I was over there).

Miller is just okay. I do not like Budweiser at all.

I actually expected this reaction; doesn't bother me one bit (I get a similar reaction when I ask for beer other than Bud Light, "You drink that?").

There is no accounting for taste. I mean, in the soda world, Moxie still sells, right? Someone likes the stuff...

Does anyone here know if you can take beer in and out of a fridge without ruining it?

It's beer, not milk. Moving it around some won't cause it to go sour. Any anyway, don't worry too much unless it is an expensive beer.

PUMPKIN ALE!!!

I've seen a lot of pumpkin beers around, but only in six packs. I can't quite splurge for that much of it when I might hate it. I keep looking for some place I can just get the one bottle, to try it.

Try your local beer or wine specialty shop. Many of them sell singles (that way you can buy a six pack and try six different beers.)

I know what you're saying. There are two types of pumpkin ale - those that taste like pumpkin (yum!) and those that taste like pumpkin pie spices (yuck!). I like Smuttynose because it tastes like pumpkin.

If the issue on the beer is about the cool temperature, you may put them in the fridge. When you took them out, pour it in a glass and add some ice cubes to prevent ruining the taste and to avoid warm atmosphere.

No no no!!! No icecubes in beer, no! It ruins it! Totally, completely ruins! Taken from fridge it stays cool enough for some half an hour. Enough to enjoy it. No need to artificially water it down with ice...
