A request to all the Howard fans

While at a local con this past weekend I had the chance to spend a few minutes talking with Mr. Steve Saffel.
Mr. Saffel is the editor who was responsible for getting Del Rel to print the tradepaper versions of Conan, Solomon Kane, and the just released Bran Mac Morn. He informed me that he would like to see more of Howard's stories put into print with the same format that others are in. What he would like to know is story collections we fans would like to have?
So I'm passing that question on to you.
So please take some time and think about it. Also, if you are aware of a forum where this question would fit in, please post it there and let me know. I'll be sending him the address of any sites where the question is posted so that the can can get a good idea of what we fans want. This is a real chance for us fans to have a say in the future of Howard in print.

I'd really like to see a definitive volume of Howard's complete Cthulhu mythos fiction, both the stories and the poems. Chaosium has published 99% of it in Nameless Cults, but I'd like to see the mythos fiction collected in the same line as Conan and REH's other stories.

a big volume of all his general horror stories and another of all his non-Conan/Kull/Kane/Morn fantasy stories (the Turleigh O'Brien stories, the Allison/reincarnation stories, all the stand alone ones) .... they could do a volume of his westerns (yeah, I know, most of you wouldn't buy it).... he also wrote a lot of boxing stories (yeah, I know, you wouldn't buy that one either)... they could do a REALLY big volume of all his historical fiction (actually, they'd probably need several books for those).... another book with his 'modern' (well, 1930's modern) adventure heroes like Gordon and O'Donnel.... there is his sci-fi novel 'Almuric'... the Skullface stories and his detective stories could be gathered together in one volume...
REH wrote a huge amount of material, and I would be happy to have the lot of it gathered together in a nice series of hardbound books....

Me too. You just can't find these.

you could find some of them back in the 80's... I have several collections of Howard's westerns... he wrote both serious westerns and a series of comical ones (which are hilarious). His boxing stories have never been gathered together all in one place though. His historical tales are scattered around about a dozen different volumes. Check out used bookstores, and you might find some of the old Zebra, Ace, and Berkley collections of his stories....

This is a difficult question. There are two facile answers: either (1) everything, or (2) all the fantasy/horror/sci-fi. I'll certainly buy anything and everything by Howard. For less dedicated fans, the most marketable works are already out: Conan and Solomon Kane. If rolled out soon enough, I expect that other Conan-esque characters will sell well: Bran Mak Morn, Kull, etc.

I just got Bran Mac, but havent had a chance to read it yet (just a skim through)

I'd love to see a collection of his Orental stories, the ones written about modern times.

I'd also realy like to see a collection of his poems, which are some of my favorets.

I'd probably end up buying a Kull book. but just for the sake of completion.
