A response to Sending?

Description of the spell Sending from the SRD:

You contact a particular creature with which you are familiar and send a short message of twenty-five words or less to the subject. The subject recognizes you if it knows you. It can answer in like manner immediately. A creature with an Intelligence score as low as 1 can understand the sending, though the subject’s ability to react is limited as normal by its Intelligence score. Even if the sending is received, the subject is not obligated to act upon it in any manner.

Does this mean that the spell grants the "reciever" the ability to respond instantly? Or, if they have the ability to cast the spell, can respond in that fashion?

Yes. You don´t need to be able to cast that spell to respond to a sending. You can send 25 words or less as an answer instantly.

I agree that it allows to reply.

As a comparison, Sending is 5th level and has no range limit, while Whispering Wind at level 2 has a range in miles but doesn't allow to reply. OTOH the cantrip Message is very short-ranged but allows replying and actually works on more creatures. So in short I think it's fair that Sending grants the reply chance :)

Can you fake a sending? What I mean is that can the sender bluff the receiver into believing he's omeone else? how would you handle this if posssible?

Not in the core sending spell, but I believe some other books (BoVD?) have variations or others spells which allow faking, misdirecting, or generally messing with a sending.
