A Riddle For Ye

I was going to guess that this is a man between mirrors.
but pronouns makes me smile, you might have to remove the 3rd line for that to work.

I was thinking twins, but pronouns definitely sounds like a better answer. I don't think the third line needs to be removed; pronouns are everywhere.

On top of that, "all" IS a pronoun in one useage: "All were awaiting the king"

But I also really like the man between mirrors answer as well, or the infamous three-way mirrors in clothing stores. It seems to work as well...

This is one I read a long time ago.

In the beginning I am something mysterious,
But in the end, I am nothing serious. What am I?

The riddle itself.

I used to have some original ones. If this thread keeps up, I may have to dig them out.

A riddle!

Nice ideas. Pronouns... very clever! :D

What I had actually thought about was something more like population or mankind, tho. ;)

The first two lines simply say that we are looking for a great number of 'equals', the third line adds, that they are found everywhere. The fourth line basically only adds, that we are looking for a term in plural not singular (who am I), which is the standard for such riddles.

So yeah, this could be almost everything... maybe one would need to add some more lines to make it a bit more specific, but I was also curious what kind of fitting solutions you would come up with! :)

Here's another one, which I just thought about... might need a bit of work still. :)

I'm a lover for one night.
I'm the prince and you're the bride.
I'm the bride and you're the prince.
I was always, ever since.
Never do I speak the truth.
Make promises of wealth and youth.
Never do I lie as well.
But what I say is hard to tell.
I can be angry, even loud.
Noone else can hear me shout.
Once you entered in my land.
I will take you by the hand.

Who am I?

Bye
Thanee
