A Small Press At GenCon

Very interesting read - especially as I plan to go to GenCon next year and cost is definitely a factor. Thanks for taking the time to write this up and share it!

Thanks guys! It is just a way for me to organize my thoughts and I have always felt it is good for small press to share experiences.

Indeed it was very informative, Bill, and I thank you for it. Even if I don't necessarily agree with every step taken, the information you provided, and the experience of it all, is helpful in planning a future Gen Con visit on a business capacity.

I wish other companies would do the same.

Hal,
To be clear, I include my mistakes and just plain advice in there so not everything is meant to be used. To be clear, it should be used as a learning tool much as any anecdotal recollection of an experience is. That is to say, good or bad, it is in there for folks to read and take what will work for them.

To expand, I am not sure doing GenCon on the cheap was very effective. Having our own booth was wildly more impressive and profitable. So, I hope it did not come of a the "One True Way". Not even for doing the con on the cheap.

Thanks for the comments though.

Bill

Hey, Bill. I totally understood that, which is why I think it was an extremly informative piece, and why I thank you, again, for taking us behind the scenes, as it were.
