OOC: It's been 3 days, but it may have been a busy week. I'll give her 'til tomorrow night. Such an important roll, I'd hate to NPC her and roll max damage...

Shadya, eyes on the prize, trips her foot on the edge of the roof just before she leaps, throwing off her jump horribly. She doesn't even come close to the edge, and she careens towards the opposite wall. Using her strong legs, she manages to slow her fall a bit using the far wall, and when she lands she rolls, reducing the impact some. Even so, she hits the ground with a fairly sickening thud. (4 non-lethal damage, 7 lethal damage)

'Meliana--head down there immediately and tell me if she's bleeding out. I can't tell from here. Either way, if the last archer decides to shoot at her body, she will die.'

(OOC: Is she or can she get in range to the last guy? If so--)

"Join your friends and surrender. Come over here and let me restrain you. You know you can't beat me by yourself," Lasair offers to the last archer.

(OOC: Suggestion, as before but one target only for 3 PP)

OOC: Sorry, weekend access isn't always available, and I didn't think I could take a 10 on a jump check, otherwise I would have. I think there's a feat that lets you do it, so i would assume you couldn't normally, or at least not in combat.

The archer spits and shouts, "Shut it, witch. And bugger your restraints!" He then tells Lasair exactly what she can do with her restraints, since she won't be using them on this man.

He loads his crossbow and fires again, this time at Lasair, and he hits her.

The other thugs, having climbed up over the edge, shake their heads wearily at their rebellious friend. "We'll be right over," one says to Lasair, and they both go into the building, presumably to take the stairs down and around to Lasair's building.

(OOC: 15 + 4 = 19 misses Lasair. But it misses by 1, so we'll say it failed due to Natural Armour, without loss of generality)

*Lasair shakes her head at the man as she calmly holds up her hand in front of his arrow and it drops harmlessly to the ground without a scratch.*

"You may have hurt my young friend, but you shall not defeat me. If you surrender, I will show you mercy, though through your vhalless actions, you should be truly alant."

(OOC: Once Meliana gets down to Shadya, which should be this round if she sprinted down the wall, she will make untrained Heal checks, but the little crystal's streak of absurd luck ends with a 7. But checking back through the thread, it looks like Shadya may actually be conscious, so I suppose the Heal check to discern her status doesn't really matter.

So if Shadya is still awake, she does the following (I'll change it if not) )

"Shadya yn Hayder, you can use the street level entrance that the other two are taking to get back up and over to the other building."

*Lasair glances at the crossbowman.*

"How many bolts do you have, archer? Why not just surrender? You cannot hurt me. But you are not even worth attacking."

(OOC: To conserve PP and since Shadya will be there soon, Lasair will just Total Defense. With AC 24, the crossbowman does not have a very good chance to hit her)

K&C:Some semblance of order has been achieved during your absence, and a few guards surround the large bowl as well as holding the center stage. Several Sairundani are tending to the fallen ceremony officials and dervish initiates. There are significantly fewer people in the crowd, and the guards are trying to calm those at the fringes, speaking firmly but softly in Sairundani. Gram is still at the center, issuing a statement to the onlookers.

Conuld scans the crowd for Cludge and the others. Failing to see them, he looks to Kurgahz. "Do you want to hand your one over to a guard, or would you like the chance to question him yourself?" he asks. Absently, he strokes the head of the cat bundled under his arm.
