Contested Ground Studios launch 'The Lostfinders Guide to Mire End' in PDF format. (27 June 2005)
Contested Ground Studios are delighted to announce the release of the PDF version of the first print supplement for the a|state RPG, The Lostfinders Guide to Mire End. The supplement is available to purchase for $6.95US at RPGnow.
The Lostfinders Guide To Mire End delves into the sodden, degraded burgh of Mire End and comes up with choice nuggets of information about this most despised of places.
'The Lostfinders Guide to Mire End' has been reviewed as:
"A good and worthwhile purchase with a good price for an a|state fan and something I think with little tweaking could be useful for any dark future game. (Or for that matter dark fantasy with a little more tweaking.) I heartily recommend it. If the chaps at Contested Ground Studios keep up this level of good work the future of a|state unlike the setting is bright indeed." (Dan Jericho, Flamesrising.com)
And Gamingreport.com commented that it:
"...does a superb job of expanding a sector noted in the core rulebook although it is a limited, concise expansion. As such, it leaves readers begging for more." (Wayne Tonjes, Gamingreport.com)
'The Lostfinders Guide to Mire End' is not only useful for GMs and players of the a|state RPG, but with little effort also makes a great, fully detailed location for other dark, gritty, urban RPGs,
'The Lostfinders Guide to Mire End' contains:
•The history and background to this sodden, dank slum.
•A full map of the burgh.
•12 highlighted locations within Mire End.
•14 highlighted NPCs, each with their own portrait to give you a real idea of what they're like.
•5 highlighted organisations, all with their own methods and agendas.
•7 varied adventure nuggets.
•A page of stats for typical (and not so typical) Mire Enders.
The download contains both a full print version of the supplement (in the style familiar from the a|state main rulebook) and a text-only screen reading version. Plus each download comes with a special bonus feature contained within an attached text file!
The PDF can be purchased at: the Lostfinders Guide page at RPGNow and the print version is available either through the Contested Ground Studios website or through Indie Press Revolution.
