I think you are barking up the wrong tree on this one. As others have pointed out, many groups have players who also DM their own games. In fact some I have heard of round robin the DM every so often. Thus "players' would/could have read the materials anyway.

I also agree with those who have pointed out that some players will read the stuff they should not anyway. I know of one person who bought any module he thought his DM was going to use. This person was always looking for new groups too

GM Only

From a publishing standpoint its better to create products that appeal to both players and GMs.

Things like the Dungeons Master's Guide and adventures are DM only items. But locations, expansions on spells, feats, magic items and whatnot... you want both players and DMs to look at. The players want something to strive for.. and hopefully talk the DM into allowing.

WOTC has done the task by coloring their books. Blue form DMs, and brown for players. This isn't blatantly obvious. But the types of product sthemselves make it obvious.

All a GM online image will likely do is get the powergamers and rule lawyers to go and buy the products anyway so they can abuse the system.
