Message: <blockquote data-quote="Rystil Arden" data-source="post: 3065001" data-attributes="member: 29014">(OOC: You can't tuck it away--it's as tall as a person, even fully rolled-up <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />)*Vanitri looks through the books and finds a bunch of secret history information dating back to musty old tomes from hundreds, maybe even thousands of years ago.  Based on Rayne's comments, Vanitri looks for something that is fairly recent.*  *Before he finds it, though, he notices a very old record on Sice himself, and remembers how Rayne mentioned he was called a Dark Lord as well.  Dusting it off, he looks through it and sees references to some pretty horrific magical experiments, all conducted in the name of the Empire, safety, and peace of mind.  Well, most of them.  Some of the later ones were based on life extension, and they reference some of the books in the magic section.  Looking through a few of them, he sees that one is missing--looking around, he sees it is on one of the reading desks--apparently somebody has been checking it out.  It has information on something called the 'Philosopher's Stone'.  This is a powerful item that can make wishes come true and contains the ability to perform vast magic, end diseases, transmute iron to gold, and perhaps even grant eternal youth.  However, those who sought to create the stone gave up when they realised that the key component of the stone was the life and soul of sentient beings.  There is even a nice illustrated diagram that seems to have been drawn by Sice himself.  It looks exactly like the thing Vanitri saw in his vision, though the sketch in the book is in black and white.*</blockquote>
