A TIME TO HARVEST: An Organised Play Event for CALL OF CTHULHU!

Chaosium is launching a new Organised Play setup for Call of Cthulhu. It's a free (to members of their Organised play program), six-month campaign called A Time to Harvest designed to be played in stores and homes. You can join the program, which is called The Cult of Chaos, for free, and you'll receive the first campaign materials in March ready for an April launch. Chaosium's Mike Mason says "It’s a tightly focused campaign, set in Lovecraft Country, which is inspired by and builds on H. P. Lovecraft's tales".

"Written by established Call of Cthulhu authors Brian Sammons, Charles P Zaglanis, Glynn Owen Barrass and Mike Mason, A Time to Harvest is an an ideal campaign for novice Keepers and players alike, with plenty of advice throughout, but veteran players will also find it engaging and fun too.

"Things are not always what they seem and the players will have to navigate the various twists and turns. It’s also pretty fast paced, with plenty of action putting the investigators into dangerous situations. Whether around the learned halls of Miskatonic University, the streets of Arkham, or the wilds of Vermont, the players will have plenty of opportunities to explore, investigate, and face threats not of this world!"

Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition is coming soon.

Chaosium has changed leadership. They are providing constant updated and I have every confidence that all the KS material will be released.

I'm not pleased about the long delay, but in KS-land it's certainly not all that unusual. All of this, of course, has nothing to do with the original topic...

And still you're making it sound like it's the actual leadership's fault. Which is not. They are trying to fulfill all of Chaosium's obligations as fast as possible. Considering that they inherited a company with 10,000$ in its bank account and debits ten magnitude greater than this sum, you should be glad they are going to provide the KS at all...

Tips of the hat to Greg, Sandy and all the Moon Design's guys for this, from my part. (Just to make it clearer: Moon Design entered in the company - and are saving it - by investing a lot of their monies into Chaosium.)

I'll be so splendidly happy when all this 7E kickstarter business is behind us and Chaosium can focus on just being awesome. Everyone loved the Guide to Glorantha and people seem excited for the new Runequest. Its a real possibility that the new folks in charge over there could lead to a resurgence of the game.
