What does a Soul Knife Assassin and a CR27 sorcerer have in common?

They're all Kobolds!

That's right.

Inside this 27 page E-book you'll find 4 blood-curdling kobolds designed to give your players a run for their money, no matter what level they are.

Pit yourself against the mighty spells of the wicked druid Makheret Greenclaw.

Hunt down Wightscale, the deadly soulknife assassin before he slays his next target.

Match blades with Rikajat the Fierce; a mighty barbarian who loves to hunt and slay dwarves, always seeking vengeance for wrongs the race visited on him in past days.

Inside this book you'll also find information on kobold society, information on cognizance nodes, anscester spirits, new spells and a new magic item: The Phylactery of Protection!

Just curious, but do the stats utilize the "alpha test of the upcoming revised 3.5 rules"? *cough*Pathfinder*cough*

Forgive me, I had a little something in my throat (I mean ... finger tips).

Plus side... like past installments in this series. Very cool.

Minus side: CR27? Not gonna use that. Any "scaled down" (pun not intended) versions here?

(Side note: Bastion's villains had a kobold lich that was a real fun encounter for the party. :) )

Ugh. I wrote a response about 15 minutes ago, hit submit, and BAM enworld crashed on me, yet again...

Let's try one more time.

There are 3 versions of each kobold in it for ya, so you don't have to pull out the big baddie at his highest CR rating. Though, in truth, he makes for a great recurring antagonist, being the chief of his tribe. Even if you don't have the players go against him directly, he can work well in a campaign behind the scenes. ;)

The next one we're planning is Planetouched, and beyond that, either Ghouls, or Demons, I'm just not sure which one yet. I'd be happy to do all of them up in Beta rules, if that's what everyone wants.

Alternatively, given Viritoth's (the CR 27 kobold mentioned), he might be willing to negotiate with PCs if they can get him what he wants for his tribe. That said, you can use the "mid level" version of his stat block if CR 27 is too high - his goals are the same at that point, but he's smart enough to still maneuver his way into getting the upper hand. Viritoth is very much a mastermind character.

dmmcoy1693, it should be fairly straightforward to update the stat blocks to Pathfinder Alpha/Beta rules. Hopefully the flavor text for the NPCs are clear enough to guide you on what options to choose. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask (yes, I wrote the book :) ).
