I thought it was weird when it occurred to me that you could legitimately call a doppelganger a "replacer beast."

Until I realized that you could legitimately call a displacer beast a "dopplerganger."

A doppelganger is, literally translated, a doublegoer.

Dopplergoer sure could apply to displacer beasts.
