A world of Thanks!

I just wanted to formally thank everyone that has helped out here.

Morrus - For being the guy running the site. You have agonized over this way too much for way too long I think.

Eric Noah - Hey man, you started it with your site. You take on a bunch of stuff here and you have juggled the PayPal payments through all of this. I could go on, but I will keep it simple.

Joe Browning - You went that extra mile to put together a way, outside of PayPal, for everyone to contribute easily. I saw a reference in the Publishers thread where you said you hadn't contributed yet. No sir, I disagree! Setting it up through your online store was a huge help.

Claudio Pozzas - The giveaway of two portraits is exceedingly cool!

Philip Reed - Wow, 2 copies of the Ronin Arts catalog!

Mystic Eye Games - Adding the MEG catalog to Philip's giveaway is a wonderful addition. Tossing in 25% of your sales for the next week or so is awesome.

0One Games - Another giveaway of the entire 0One Games catalog!

It really is great to see all of you helping out like this.

All the forum moderators - You guys are the ones that keep us all civil and directed. I am sure it is a completely thankless job at times. Still, it is an important one and I appreciate it.

All the contributors to the recent fund raiser - Wow! It feels great to be part of such a special group. I would personally list each of you, but that is a lot of people and it keeps growing. Besides, I don't have a list of everyone.

Cyberstreet - For being cool about the account. It wuold have been easy for you to simply say, 'we gotta pull the plug', but you didn't.

Everyone else that uses EN World - Hey, you all help make this the community that it is. Keep it up.

I am sure I have missed somebody's contribution. If so, I assure you it wasn't a slight. It is just getting difficult to keep track of all of this. :) Please, feel free to add to this list!

Again, Thanks everyone!

I completely agree. I came on today, curious to see how things have gone, knowing our problems are solved for some time. Upon reading the front page and seeing the generousity of our friends in the business, I actually had a little tear come to my eye. I've considered this place home for some time, but now I feel like I actually like my family :) I'm proud to be part of this place.

I was impressed when I checked out the boards last night. I am a bit overwhelmed at the generosity of people who use these boards.

It is good to see so many people who use the boards stepping up to help out. (Don't feel bad if you can't at the moment. Just having a community with so many good-hearted members is a joy.)

Morrus, perhaps there can be a few ways to raise support for the boards. Possibly a membership drive and a supporter drive, somewhat similar to how public televison and radio stations fund themselves in the states. You can set up a goal, and maybe a few companies can donate a few prizes or make a download available to contributors.

I am impressed how Morrus and the moderators handled such a rough situation, and how everyone responded. I think as long as the community spirit that typifies how EN Worlders respond in a crisis (whether board problems or a crisis in the life of a member) is strong, the boards will be around in some form.

How about me for keeping it real?

Tom, it took me a while to figure out some of your posts. Now, I usually look forward to them. Maybe that sounds odd, but there it is. If it makes you feel better, than yeah - Thanks, for keeping it real!

I would also like to thank Morningstar Maps, and Open World Press.

This is just a thought.. Shouldn't some one write the media about this? It seems to me that a community comming together to keep itself alive makes for great copy. I would think a computer magazine or something like that would jump at this.

I did start to write a letter to Slate, but honestly don't know how to explain all this without some serious backstory. Anyone else like to give it a shot? I really think it is noteworthy as I have never seen anything like this on the net. If someone has, I'd like to hear about it.

I have to agree. We did an astounding thing. We proved we are a community. not just that even.. We're a community that truely cares about one another. All you have to do is read on any given day about a sick member or if some one is having a problem .. we're all over therm with love and support.

I would like to add pogre and alsih20 to the list of Thank You's!

Somebody will be lucky enough to win a mini painted by pogre and somebody will be lucky enough to win a big d20, or a die roller.

Thanks!
