My girlfriend watches one and DVR's the other. Last season I watched the last two shows of Idol with her and it was more entertaining watching her watch the show then watching the show itself.
ABC probably would prefer to have the watched show then the recorded show because many people fast forward through the commericals (I know I do) so thus the move.

This is because ABC is killing LOST, later slot now and I will not be surprised to here it gets moved to another night in the near future.

"Killing" is overstating things. "Criminal Minds," for reasons no one can fathom, has come from distantly behind to just a bit ahead of "Lost."Hand of Evil said:

Yes, they manage to catch an elusive serial killer each week during a one-hour time slot. Amazing!

Yep, I love the guy. If it were not for the fact that I dislike police procedural shows, I would be watching Criminal Minds every week with my wife. As it is, I catch bits and pieces from time to time as she watches.
We record Lost and watch together.
