For a set called "Aberrations", not many of the minatures really are. Instead of armored figures with swords or maces and shields, can they through in some wizards and more monsters.

I had the same idea.

By the way, do these minis (since GoL) really look that better compared to the first 3 sets, or is it just the pictures on the website which improved? They seem much more detailed and better painted than before.

In my opinion, every set has been an improvement over the last, in terms of quality. Sometimes the jump is big -- Giants of Legend over Archfiends -- and sometimes not-so-big -- Dragoneye over Harbinger -- but definitely better every time. I'm getting genuinely curious as to just how good the quality can get.

The hero mini selection is pretty bad. Do they have something against creating female heros!? I'd love to see a non-Lidda female rogue.

They really need to get some minis for classes other than heavy fighter, Cleric or Ranger.

Zombie Ogre is a good idea, half illithid lizardfolk, not so good.

They do need more variety in weapons, more polearms please. There is a decent amount of females represented, but you are correct that a human/elf female Rogue would be nice.
