First Post
The Silven Trumpeter is dedicated to producing high-quality material for the RPG gaming community. We are currently accepting proposals for articles for our September 2006 issue. The time commitment is up to you: whether you have one article you'd like to submit or you'd like to run a monthly column for the next three years, we welcome your voice!

Who Should Apply

We are looking for people with the following traits/skills:
a) excellent writing skills in English
b) passion about RPGs
c) gaming experience in the areas you wish to cover
d) solid team player and dependable personality

We publish short fiction, serialized fiction, monthly columns, GM advice, supplemental game material, and reviews of new and recent products – as well as innovative, fresh approaches to gaming and related topics.

What We Can Offer

First of all, we will pay you! Writers will receive $10 per article written, with additional pay available for feature articles (please contact the editor in chief for more information).

In addition:

a) You will have the ability to communicate with our other writers in our guilds and receive support and guidance as needed.
b) We have professional editors who will help your improve your work and enhance your skills.
c) Exposure! We welcome writers trying to break into the industry, and provide that critical first “published credit."

Are You Interested?

First, we highly recommend that you look over some of the previous issues of the Silven Trumpeter to get a feel for the kind of articles we publish. Then email the Editor-in-Chief at Lyz@SilvenPublishing.com with the following information.

a) A brief summary (no more than a page) of the article or story you would like to submit.
b) Ideas for art to accompany your article (While we can't guarantee that artwork will accompany every article, we can guarantee that if you don't send along art ideas, your article will be one of those without art!).
c) A short (50-100 words) biography of yourself as a writer, to be printed alongside your article if it is published.
d) A sample of your writing. It can be all or part of the article you are proposing, or a past work; we just want to see your writing skills and style.
e) Your name and email address, so we can contact you regarding your proposal.

Proposals for the June issue of the Silven Trumpeter are due to the Editor-in-Chief by July 20, 2006.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to email the Editor-in-Chief at Lyz@SilvenPublishing.com.
