D&D 4E Access to pre-release 4E SRD

It seems that some publishers are getting access to some form of the 4E rules before the official release so that they can have 4E product ready to go out the door.

Is this a special consideration type thing only going to those currently established d20 producers or is it something someone like little ole me could get my hands on with the intent of publishing something for 4E?

Just wondering what my options are.

No one has, officially, gotten any kind of 4e SRD yet, especially because the game is still being put together.

Some publishers, however, are making educated guesses as to what will be in 4e and making plans accordingly, which is what, I think, you are seeing.

Actually, there was some talk about giving an advance copy of the SRD to some publishers. I would expect that this will apply only to publishers with a proven track record.

See here.

I'd assume that the rules would have to be closer to complete before that's done, as well :) 8 months is a long time for rules to change dramatically - or even minorly - enough to invalidate an SRD.

Those "designer diaries" they are posting on the front page suggests that they are no where near complete with 4e, which could translate into a delayed release or a rushed product (4.5e anyone?).

Also note that some publisher may be indeed getting the SRD but is under a strict gag order.
