Access to the "top"

Sometimes it just blows me away how great this all is. I remember the old days when Dragon Magazine was essentially the only way players could communicate with each other (in the letters and forum sections) -- it would take months or years to hash out an issue such as "is D&D falling damage realistic"? Now we can take care of that in a few hours or days over the internet. The net has allowed me to collaborate on projects with people on the other side of the world.

I wonder what it would have been like if the Internet had been around during TSR's glory days?

That's right. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, it's now possible to vent as much hot air in six hours as used to take six months! ;)
